La Fura dels Baus are traveling to Monterrey to inaugurate the Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro de Bogotá with Afrodita y el Juicio de Paris. It will be the coming 6th March, at 18h00, at the Parque Metropolitano Simón Olívar.
The viralshow, directed by Pera Tantiñá will be, one more time, an air show, with music and video that will own all magic. Also, Afrodita y el Juicio de Paris will have local participants (previously selected through a casting). The installation attaches great importance to the human factor, necessary to make this impressive show of 55 minutes long.
The show will feature broadcasts on social networks through the hashtag ‘#AfroditaBogotá‘. There will be online interviews with participants, tests and other interesting information that will help bring the public, both Colombian and international, to this viralshow.
This outdoor installation tells the dispute between Athena, Hera and Aphrodite for possessing the apple “for the fairest”. The temperate Paris has to act as a judge and goddesses will tempt him by offering various gifts in return for his choice. Paris selects Aphrodite who will give him something that unable to refuse: the beautiful Helen, the precursor of the future Trojan War.
