The Academy of the Performing Arts awarded, on December 17, with the ‘Medalla de Oro’ (Gold Medal) 2019 to the Tricicle company ‘for his brilliant professional career in the discipline of gestural theater, where he has stood out for his ingenious use of humor’. The award was given during a gala dinner, held in Madrid, and was attended, among other institutional representatives, by the Minister of Culture, José Guirao, the president of the Foundation of the Academy of Performing Arts, Cayetana Guillén Cuervo, of the president of the Academy, Jesús Cimarro, and of the general director of Cultural Industries and Cooperation, Adriana Moscoso.
In addition, Tricicle will begin the farewell season of the theatrical stages at the Coliseum Theater in Barcelona with the show Hits. The first functions can be seen, during this month of January, on 23, 24, 25, 26, 30 and 31. The company will be in this room for 10 weeks and the last performance will take place on March 29.
