La Fura del Baus
The present impossibility of a united reality has become apparent in contemporary stages with the disappearance of the borders between genres, the emergence of a new creator's statute, and the growing incorporation of the media and technology. The Fura dels Baus works within this pluralist background, creating, coordinating and catalizing events which can be shown in different forms (theatre, opera, olympic ceremonies, public spectacles or hybrid formulas like the planetary rave parties), and it does this by expanding its method of friction towards other creators from a fruitful beginning of mutual contamination.
An expansion which has also meant a diversification/multiplication of projects preserving the aesthetic collective inheritance, accumulated for seventeen years of collective biography. A diversification which has allowed the Fura dels Baus also to work in a constellation of events, in a dynamic framework within a group process.
The Fura dels Baus challenges contemporary complexity in an internal momentum of authentic creative ebuillence.
