The company Kràmpack was created in the year 1994 by Mònica Glaenzel, Elisenda Alonso, Joel Joan and Jordi Sánchez, and their first spectacle, Kràmpack, which made its debut at the International Festival of Sitges and was accepted with a great success by the criticizers and by the public, and this fact repeated in its season in Barcelona and Madrid, where it made its debut in Castilian in the year 1996, and during its turn round in Catalonia, Balearic Isles and the Valencian Community, Jordi Sánchez receives the special Prize of the Criticizers of Barcelona of that year. In 1997 is the first representation of Sóc Lletja, an Unsightly musical spectacle and which is the most seen spectacle of the Festival Grec97. After six months on the show-bill, and turn round through Catalonia, in 1998 is represented for the first time Soy Fea (I am naughty) in Madrid. Joel Joan and Laura Conejero receive the Prizes of the Criticizers of Barcelona for their interpretation. Sóc Lletja is translated into Portuguese, Danish and Norwegian and repre- sented in those countries. Kràmpack and Sóc Lletja are contemporary texts, of Catalan authors and created for being represented by the company, with a contemporary and direct language which connects with the public, and which is one of the features which define Kràmpack as a company. In the year 1999 is the first representation in TV3 of Plats Bruts, an original idea of Kràmpack, being the first sit-com filmed with public in direct. Kràmpack is responsible of the authorship, coordination of scripts, direction and interpretation of the three protagonist characters. At present, TV3 is emitting for the 6th season Plats Bruts which is keeping the leadership of Audience since the 1st season, being the most seen Dramatic work in the history of the Chain. The series has received the Prizes Omnium Cultural and GECA (Prize to the leaders of Audience). On the 20th January, 2002 takes place in the Teatre Romea of Barcelona the first performance of EXCUSES! by Jordi Sanchez and Joel Joan, with dramaturgy and direction by Pep Anton Gómez. The spectacle remains 6 months on the show-bill, and it is the spectacle performed in the Catalan language with the highest ticket-office collection and that which is most seen by the public, with a 90,43% occupation. Later-on, and after the turn through Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, EXCUSES! comes back to the Teatre Romea. In whole, more than 140.400 spectators could enjoy this theatrical success. At present is being prepared the turn on an international level. |
