The company Pocaconya is already going for nine years from village to village, from town to town, making laugh the personnel with his absurd, serious and apparently spontaneous humour..

In 1993, they create their prime opera «Muchas gracias» (Many thanks), wherewith they get the first prize «èxits of Tàrrega ‘93» and a lot of actuations all over Catalonia and the Balearic Islands. In 1995, they succeed in consolidating as a stable company with their «Standepocaconya. The fair of humour.» And in 1997, they create «Matrícula de Humor», the most interrupted spectacle of all the times and misfortunes...

The Pocaconya enter very strongly in this millenium with their «Pocacoña y punto»: a highly explosive spectacle (they demolish the theatre…) results from regenerating the best sketches of the foregoing spectacles and combining them with totally new ideas and situations. The success obtained with this mounting, both from the criticizers and the public, has allowed the company to export its original humour to the whole Spanish geography. After this «punto y aparte», the company makes the first performance of «Humour Sapiens. Seeking for intelligent life on the planet Earth.» Their most mature, satiric, ironic, reflexive, surrealistic, critic, acid, and regrettably timely spectacle. This coded social satire of humour could be defined as a «colleja» to the human being won with effort, a very necessary cure of humility, a species therapy and a very healthy laughing at ourselves.
