The company La Baldufa will present its show Fantasmes de Guerra<\/strong> on February 24 at FETEN \u201926, the International Performing Arts Fair for Children and Families in Gij\u00f3n<\/a><\/span>, an annual benchmark event in Spain and internationally dedicated to theatre, dance, music, and other performing arts for young audiences.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Fantasmes de Guerra<\/strong> is a theatre-in-theatre project with live music that tells the story of three inseparable friends who grow up sharing games and dreams, until a war breaks out and separates their paths. Years later, now grown and reunited in a retirement home, the ghosts of the past reappear, bringing to the surface words that were never spoken and forgiveness that is hard to express.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Inspired by the work \u00c9rem feres<\/strong> (Pag\u00e8s Editors, 2023) by historian Oriol Riart, the show draws on real diaries of combatants from both sides of the Spanish Civil War to create a dramaturgy that is intimate, human, and intergenerational.
