On 29 and 30 June, CIATRE took an active part in the Paraula Compartida<\/em> Professional Conference, an initiative promoted by Xarxa Alcover to mark its 30th anniversary. Held at the SGAE headquarters in Barcelona, the event became a space for dialogue, debate and exchange centred on Catalan-language playwriting and the main challenges facing the performing arts across the Catalan-speaking territories. The conference took place in the Ramon Muntaner and Mompou halls and brought together professionals, theatre companies, production companies, playwrights, programmers and organisations from across the sector.<\/p>\n

As one of the organisations behind Xarxa Alcover, CIATRE was also responsible for the executive production of the two-day event, contributing to the coordination of a programme that combined panel discussions, project presentations, networking opportunities and staged readings.<\/p>\n

CIATRE’s presence was also reflected through several member companies that took part in the programme. Anna Rosa Cisquella, Vice-President of CIATRE and representative of Dagoll Dagom, participated both in the panel on touring and exhibition, which focused on the situation of privately run theatres across the Catalan-speaking territories, and as moderator of the panel on production, dedicated to the shared challenges of creating and producing work in Catalan. Montserrat Arcarons from Els Joglars, and Pilar Mir from Mosica Mix also took part in this production panel, contributing their experience from different company and management models.<\/p>\n

The conference also provided an opportunity for several initiatives to present their projects to attending professionals. Among them were three CIATRE member companies: La Voz Ahogada Projecte Esc\u00e8nic, Magrana Escena and Marc Buxaderas, who introduced their proposals during the project presentation sessions.<\/p>\n

The first day concluded with a staged reading by Cia. Mea Culpa, a CIATRE member company, presenting Solc<\/strong>, a text by Francesca Vadell Cubells, highlighting the strength of contemporary Catalan playwriting as one of the central themes of the event.<\/p>\n

In addition, several CIATRE members attended the conference as professional delegates, reinforcing the event’s role as a meeting place for dialogue and exchange within the performing arts sector.<\/p>\n
