N\u00faria Esquius continues its stage work throughout November with two productions exploring different theatrical and musical languages: <strong>La cupletista<\/strong> and <strong>L\u2019Executiva<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On 22 November at 6 pm, as part of D.O. Territori Esc\u00e8nic, Cal Xic venue in Arb\u00facies (Girona) will host <strong>La cupletista<\/strong>, a production that revisits a fundamental chapter in Catalan musical and theatrical history. The show celebrates the legacy of C\u00e0ndida P\u00e9rez Mart\u00ednez, a pioneering composer at a time when female musical creators were a rarity, and the author of some of the most popular cupl\u00e9s in Catalan song. Featuring text and vocals by N\u00faria Esquius, piano accompaniment by Jorge Varela and direction by Pere Sagrist\u00e0-Oll\u00e9, <strong>La cupletista<\/strong> combines historical insight, music and entertainment to champion a genre that once held a prominent place on Catalan stages.<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s second performance of the month will take place on 20 November at 8 pm at <a href=\"https:\/\/salabteatre.com\/event\/lexecutiva\/\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Sala B<\/span><\/a> in Amposta (Tarragona), where it will present <strong>L\u2019Executiva<\/strong>, a musical tragicomedy thriller full of irony and dark humour. The play introduces Sofie Hazzard, a talented headhunter who discovers that the candidates she has recruited into the corporate world have become unscrupulous monsters. Faced with this situation, she decides to take action: by day, she is a brilliant executive; by night, a hunter determined to deliver justice. N\u00faria Esquius performs this journey between the corporate world and revenge as a solo performer, accompanied on piano by Jorge Varela. With its fast-paced staging, the production raises a fundamental question about the boundaries between professional and moral responsibility.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cia.
