October arrives packed with Magrana Escena productions, including premieres, performances as part of the Fira Mediterrània de Manresa, and shows continuing their journey across different stages in Catalonia and Spain.
On 15 October, Ester Guntín will present Brida at 8 pm at the Claustre del Museu del Barroc de Catalunya, as part of Fira Mediterrània (Manresa, Barcelona). The show is part of the event programme and offers a contemporary and personal approach to the performing arts. On the same day, at 4.45 pm in the Sala Petita of the Teatre Kursaal in Manresa, Clara Poch will present L’ombra de la libèl·lula, also as part of the Fira Mediterrània programme. The production thus joins one of the key events for the performing arts and Catalonia’s popular and traditional culture.
In Barcelona, Magrana Escena will premiere Perdona’m cos meu, with text and direction by Queralt Riera. The show will be performed from 28 October to 22 November at Teatre Akadèmia, giving audiences the chance to discover this new production by the company.
Magrana Escena will also be present on Barcelona’s theatre listings with Evidències evidents de bruixeria, directed by Clara Manyós and written by Queralt Riera. The show will run from 29 October to 15 November at Sala Àtic 22 of Teatre Tantarantana. The production explores the imagery of witchcraft through contemporary theatre and adds to an especially active October season for the company.
The month will close with a new performance by Ester Guntín, who will present Quiso Negro on 31 October at 8 pm at Teatro Guiniguada in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
