La Baldufa is immersed in the creative process of its new show, which, if there are no changes, will be called Fantasmes de Guerra. This stage production, featuring live music, is set to premiere in October at the Fira Mediterrània de Manresa. The play is based on real diaries of combatants from the Spanish Civil War, compiled in the book Érem Feres by Oriol Riart. Directed by Lucía Miranda, the production offers an anti-war perspective, highlighting the absurdity of war and its profound impact on people. With humor, symbolism, and a strong connection with the audience—hallmarks of the company—this new show aims to provoke thought and stir emotions across all age groups. The creative process is being developed through various artistic residencies. The company has already worked at the Laboratorio de las Artes de Valladolid-LAVA and Teatre Escorxador in Lleida and will continue holding open rehearsals with students and local communities to refine the production before its premiere.
