This July, La Fura dels Baus embarks on an intense international tour that will take the company to stages across Europe and Latin America with four large-scale productions. With two world premieres and two emblematic revivals, the company reaffirms its commitment to theatrical innovation and visual and conceptual impact.
The first show of the tour will be Carmen: 150 años, a brand-new production commemorating the 150th anniversary of Bizet’s opera premiere. The premiere will take place on the 7th in Madrid, as part of the Festival Veranos de la Villa, at the Puente del Rey venue.
On the 10th, the company will debut Emergency EXIT at Serbia’s EXIT Festival in Novi Sad, a piece that calls for ecological awareness and the urgent need for social transformation. This same production will be performed again on the 17th at Boom Festival in Idanha-a-Nova (Portugal), in a natural and immersive setting.
The tour will conclude on the 26th in Caracas (Venezuela) with a performance of Carmina Burana at the Sala Teatro Teresa Carreño, a spectacular staging that blends music, dance, and imagery with the signature energy of the company.
