After three years, Magatzem d’Ars brings back La sireneta to Barcelona’s Sala Ars starting November 15th. The first performance will take place at 12 noon, and the play will run until January.

La sireneta tells the story of Ariel, a young mermaid who lives with her friends at the bottom of the sea. On her birthday, she sees a ship commanded by Prince Eric and immediately falls in love with him. Eager to meet him, she asks her father, the god Poseidon, to give her feet to leave the water, but he refuses to protect her from the human world. The sea witch takes the opportunity to make a deal with Ariel: she will grant her feet in exchange for her voice. If within 24 hours she receives a kiss of love from the prince, she will regain her voice; if not, the witch will keep her soul forever. This adaptation, full of fantasy, music, and emotion, will captivate young and old alike.
