Marcel Gros has received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 16th Zirkòlika Circus Awards of Catalonia, presented by Zirkòlika magazine. The award ceremony took place on 17 December during the Nit de Circ gala, held at the Historic Raluy Circus Big Top in Barcelona (Barcelona). With more than forty years devoted to circus and clown performance, Marcel Gros is a key figure in contemporary stage humour. His artistic path is defined by a distinctive language rooted in subtle humour, imagination and visual poetry, engaging audiences of all ages. His career began in the 1980s and includes the co-founding of the company Teatre Mòbil, as well as an extensive solo career as a theatrical clown with numerous original productions. The Lifetime Achievement Award recognises a sustained and essential artistic contribution to the development of circus and clowning in Catalonia.
