On Sunday, April 19th at 12 h, the Centre Cívic Nord Comèdia Teatre in Igualada (Barcelona) will host a unique theatrical experience with the show Spasticity, a monologue by Marc Buxaderas that invites the audience to step into the life of a person with a functional diversity. During the performance, Buxaderas shares his daily life in a wheelchair, blending humor and tenderness to reveal the small gestures and significant challenges of his routine—from getting dressed to going to bed. Through personal anecdotes and everyday situations, the audience is offered a glimpse of life through his eyes, with moments ranging from surreal and funny to deeply moving.

Spasticity avoids overprotection and the “oh poor thing!” attitude, aiming instead to place the audience in challenging situations and raise awareness about diversity. The show combines courage and sensitivity, inviting viewers to laugh, be moved, and reflect on realities that often remain invisible.
