As part of the Festival de Sarsuela, Barcelona’s Teatre Apolo will host several performances of Milnotes Teatre’s La Corte de Faraón, one of the most popular and irreverent works in the Spanish lyric theatre repertoire. From 27 to 30 August, audiences will enjoy five performances of this witty biblical operetta, celebrated for its satirical humour, sparkling score and playful double entendres, which have made it one of the genre’s best-loved titles.
Performances will take place on 27 and 28 August at 8.30 pm, on 29 August at 6 pm and 9.30 pm, and on 30 August at 6 pm. Through this engagement at Teatre Apolo, the Festival de Sarsuela aims to bring this important theatrical heritage closer to today’s audiences, highlighting its enduring vitality and its ability to connect with spectators of all ages.
