The musical L’alegria que passa, by the company Dagoll Dagom, will embark on a very special tour to China this September. The production will be performed on 18, 19 and 20 September at the Shanghai Culture Square, one of the country’s leading venues for international musical theatre, where it will give four performances.
The show’s arrival in Shanghai marks a historic milestone: it will be the first musical in Catalan to be performed in China and the first Spanish musical to enter this programming circuit. The production comes to China with VertebrART, with the support of the Institut Ramon Llull. Almost three years after its premiere, much of the artistic team will reunite to bring the show to a new audience and a new cultural context.
This international journey will also be one of the company’s final major projects before bringing more than fifty years of artistic activity to a close, and represents a new opportunity to showcase Catalan musical theatre and culture internationally.
