This March, poetry will “burn” in Barcelona with Guitarra quemada. Lorca en el centro, a stage proposal produced by Versus Teatre that will bring an intimate ritual of words and music to Espai Random every Thursday evening (5, 12, 19, 26). The show can be seen every Thursday at 8:15 p.m., inviting the audience to embark on an emotional journey through verses that have marked generations.
With dramaturgy by Ever Blanchet, the piece places Federico García Lorca at the center of a poetic constellation that dialogues with other great names in Hispanic literature. The production combines poetry and theatrical fragments by Lorca with texts by Antonio Machado, Miguel Hernández, Gabriel Celaya, María Zambrano, Blas de Otero, León Felipe, and Gloria Fuertes, among others, creating a mosaic of voices that spans the 20th century.
On stage, actress Maria Clausó gives voice and body to this lyrical universe, while guitarist Juan Mario Cuéllar weaves a sonic atmosphere with compositions by Manuel de Falla, Isaac Albéniz, Federico Mompou, Francisco Tárrega, and Gaspar Sanz, whose music dialogues with the verses.
