The professional theatre circuit D.O. Territori Escènic, promoted by CIATRE (the Association of Professional Theatre Companies of Catalonia) as part of the 2023–2026 Theatre Promotion Plan, will launch its third edition at the end of September, with a programme running until December. This year, the project expands its geographical reach with the incorporation of the Les Garrigues region, which joins the two territories where the initiative was already taking place: La Selva and Terres de l’Ebre. The programme will begin on Friday, 25 September, at 9 pm, at the Pati de l’Hotel d’Entitats in El Perelló (Tarragona), with a performance of Tot esperant en Will by Egos Teatre. The following day, Saturday, 26 September, the circuit will arrive in Sant Hilari Sacalm (Girona), where the Teatre Catalunya will host Bonobo 2.0 by Epidèmia Teatre at 7.30 pm. The first weekend of activity will conclude on Sunday, 27 September, in Les Borges Blanques, with the itinerant show Kamchàtka by the company Kamchàtka, beginning at 12 noon in Plaça Europa. The full programme and ticket sales are available at www.doterritoriescenic.cat.

D.O. Territori Escènic is a project that promotes the creation of a professional performing arts circuit in municipalities with up to 8,000 inhabitants, with the aim of diversifying and expanding cultural offerings in Catalonia. The initiative facilitates public access to professional performances and contributes to strengthening the theatre exhibition network outside the main urban centres. The project is part of the 2023–2026 Theatre Promotion Plan, an initiative of the Catalan Government’s Department of Culture aimed at strengthening the theatre sector across every stage of its value chain, from creation and production to presentation and dissemination.
