CIATRE carries out, within the I Pla d’impuls del teatre de Catalunya 2023-2026, the Terres Theater Fair (Fira Terres), a meeting space between professionals, programmers and the public. The fair wants to serve as a showcase for the theater sector to generate hiring opportunities among companies.

Fira Terres will take place from January 23 to 26, 2025 in Girona and nearby municipalities.

The Terres Theater Fair

The Fira Terres will bring together programmers from all over Spain to generate synergies and facilitate contact between companies and agents in the sector. In addition, companies from other autonomous communities will be invited to promote cooperation and mitigate the effect of the lack of storefronts in other communities in the state.

During the four days of the fair, apart from seeing the 12 selected proposals, accredited professionals will enjoy meeting and exchange spaces with other professionals from the theater sector and agents from the public and private spheres.

I Pla d’impuls del teatre de Catalunya 2023-2026

The I Pla d’impuls del teatre de Catalunya 2023-2026 is an initiative of the Departament de Cultura de la Generalitat de Catalunya, the Associació d’Actors i Directors Professionals de Catalunya (AADPC), the Associació d’Empreses de Teatre de Catalunya (ADETCA), the Associació de Companyies de Teatre Professional de Catalunya (CIATRE), the Associació Professional de Teatre per a Tots els Públics (TTP), the Col·lectiu de Companyies de Teatre Independents de Catalunya, the Plataforma d’Arts de Carrer (PAC) and UNIMA Catalunya which has the collaboration of the Institut Ramon Llull (IRL) and the Consell Nacional de la Cultura i de les Arts (CoNCA) and the complicity of several municipalities, entities and performing arts facilities in Catalonia.

This promotion plan consists of 23 specific measures that aim to promote projects to support creation and production; improve dissemination and generation of audiences; boost hiring; ensure education and training; encourage the collection of data and knowledge; and other environmental sustainability and accessibility variables.

The Fira Terres, promoted by CIATRE, has the support of the Institut Català de les Empreses Culturals (ICEC) – Departament de Cultura de la Generalitat de Catalunya and with the collaboration of the Teatre Municipal de Girona – Ajuntament de Girona, the Centre de creació d’arts escèniques Salt /Girona / Catalunya (El Canal Salt), the Teatre de Salt – Ajuntament de Salt, the Teatre de Bescanó – Ajuntament de Bescanó and the Sala La Planeta de Girona.
