After the months of forced shutdown due to the health crisis, some CIATRE companies will raise the curtain, within of Cruïlla XXS festival, an event that will take place during the months of July and August in Barcelona.

La Fura dels Baus will premiere the show Nova Normalitat, directed by Carlus Padrissa, with which the company pays tribute to people who dedicate their lives to promoting health. In addition, it will also serve to raise funds for the teams that are investigating the Covid-19 pandemic. The play will be performed at the Sant Pau modernist venue on July 3 and 4, at 8:30 p.m.

The Victoria Theater will be the stage for the rest of the shows that CIATRE companies will offer, at 7:00 p.m. or 8:30 p.m., as part of the Cruïlla XXS.

Addaura Teatre Visual will perform, on July 7, Mobilus, a work for all audiences based on the work of the acclaimed American sculptor, painter and draftsman, Alexander Calder. Dance, magic, shadows, manipulation of objects, puppets and circus are the axes that support this theatrical production that was nominated in the Max Awards.

The Divinas company will transport us to the Paris of the Second World War, a city about to be invaded by Nazi troops, thanks to its cabaret show, Enchanté. This musical work, which will be performed on July 14, contains live music and voices, as well as tap, tango and classical ballet numbers, disciplines that mix with satirical and absurd humor.

The Pepa Plana company will perform, on July 18, Veus que no veus, a production that claims the role of women in the world of clown. Two clowns, an Augusta and a Carablanca, played by Pepa Plana and Noël Olivé, will present us with the female version of the so-called “classics entrances”, the numbers that start a show or link scenes. Veus que no veus was awarded the award for best show 2019 of Zirkòlika magazine.

David Moreno Cia. & Cristina Calleja will offer, on July 28, the hall version of their successful Flotados, which was awarded as the best street show at the 2019 Max Awards. In this new adaptation called Flotados XL, a grand piano at 7 meters high it will be the door to a universe full of music, dance, acrobatics, video projections and light.
