The Companyia de Comediants La Baldufa will pack its bags to take the Arrivederci Confetti show to the 16th Festival de Tradiciones de Vida y Muerte, a multidisciplinary performing arts event held at Mexico’s Xcaret Park, in Playa de Carmen. Until November 3, the group from Lleida will perform 9 shows of this work where three clowns mourn the death of their leader, Confetti.

The Festival de Tradiciones de Vida y Muerte hosts performances from around the world and also shows the most significant cultural and traditional performances of the Mayan world around Hanal Pixán, which is the celebration of the Day of the Dead in the Quintana Roo region. The Xcaret Park, an aquatic space that accommodates nature, culture and tradition, is the main venue for the festival.

The expedition to Mexico, initially planned for 2020, had to be postponed due to the pandemic, and now it will finally come true. It will be the second time that La Baldufa performs in Mexico, after taking Baron Munchausen to Guadalajara, in 2009.
