Magatzem d’Ars is back this spring with a special performance to celebrate Sant Jordi. The show La llegenda de Sant Jordi will be staged at Sala Ars in Barcelona with five performances on April 12, 19, and 20.
The play tells the traditional story of the brave knight Jordi, who arrives in a small Catalan village just as a terrible threat looms over its people: a ferocious dragon is devouring the livestock, and with no animals left, the king is forced to hold a lottery among the villagers to decide who will be the next sacrifice. Fate chooses his own daughter, the princess but just when all hope seems lost, a knight appears, ready to face the beast or maybe not so ready?
With an engaging production filled with humor, La llegenda de Sant Jordi promises to entertain both children and adults with this unique take on one of the most iconic Catalan legends.
