The artistic call to participate in the upcoming edition of Fira Terres, organised by CIATRE, has closed with great success: 346 proposals have been submitted. This figure consolidates the event as an emerging reference in the performing arts scene. This year, the call was also open to theatre companies from across Spain. A selection committee will choose a maximum of 14 shows for the 2026 programme: 11 from Catalan companies and 3 from companies based outside Catalonia.

Fira Terres, a fair dedicated to indoor theatre for adult audiences, is an initiative promoted by CIATRE as part of the I Pla d’impuls de teatre de Catalunya 2023–2026. Following the success of its first edition, the event will move to the Vallès Oriental region, with activities taking place in Granollers, Les Franqueses del Vallès, and Canovelles, with the aim of strengthening its local roots and expanding its overall impact. The fair becomes a platform for showcasing and professional networking, as well as a meeting point for programmers, theatre companies, and audiences. Its goal is to create new opportunities for touring and contracting small and medium-sized companies, while also building new audiences through a compelling, high-quality programme. The 2026 edition will be held from 4 to 8 February, and will bring together programmers and companies from different regions of Spain. The programme will combine performances of the selected shows with professional activities such as business meetings, resource exchanges, and informal gatherings.
