The latest show by Cia. Pepa Plana, A cada pas, continues its tour across Catalonia throughout February. The performance is a poetic and absurd journey through the rediscovery of the world. What would have happened if Winnie, the unforgettable protagonist of Oh, els bons dies by Samuel Beckett, had been able to fly away and escape from her little mound of sand? In this wordless show, the clown embodies a free Winnie, though still clinging to her quirks and relentless optimism.
A cada pas will be performed in Mataró on February 14 and in Cornellà on February 22, reaffirming the strength and uniqueness of this project within their repertoire. The company will also be present in the professional area of Fira Terres, the indoor theatre fair. Meanwhile, Pepa Plana will travel to Tomelloso (Ciudad Real to present Si tú te vas , a war-critical piece that reflects on absence and personal relationships.
To complete its February program, the company will present Veus que no veus at four civic centers in Barcelona as part of the Barcelona Districte Cultural program. This project offers the female version of the so-called “classic clown entries” in the circus, combining feminist messages, music, and physical theatre to explore perception and communication beyond words.
