This April, from 11th to 26th, Sala Ars in Barcelona will host the show La Llegenda de Sant Jordi, a theatrical adaptation of the popular legend that will captivate both children and adults. The story takes us to a small village in Catalonia many years ago, where, mysteriously, sheep began to disappear. Among the good people of the village, rumors spread: it was said that a ferocious dragon devoured one sheep each week. The King, worried for the welfare of his people, began leaving animals at the entrance of the cave where they believed the beast lived. When they ran out of livestock, they had to hold a lottery to decide who would be offered to the dragon… and luck fell on the princess, the King’s daughter.
Fortunately, on the way to the cave, the princess meets Jordi, a knight who promises to be brave… or perhaps not so much. The show combines humor, adventure, and suspense, keeping the audience engaged until the very last moment. A unique opportunity to relive Catalonia’s most iconic legend in a traditional, fun, and magical version. Perfect for families, La Llegenda de Sant Jordi invites audiences to laugh, be moved, and experience a Catalan classic like never before.
