This April, Versus Teatre brings to Barcelona two stage productions that combine literature, music, and contemporary dramaturgy, reaffirming their commitment to high-quality theatre and the reinterpretation of great authors.

On Thursday, April 9th, 16th, and 30th, at Espai RANDOM, audiences can enjoy Guitarra Quemada. Lorca en el Centro, a play by Ever Blanchet that weaves together texts and poetry by Federico García Lorca, Antonio Machado, Gloria Fuertes, María Zambrano, Gabriel Celaya, and Blanchet herself. Actress Maria Clausó and guitarist Juan Mario Cuéllar bring this intimate and powerful piece to life, combining theatrical performance and live music to explore the poetic strength and enduring relevance of literary classics.

Additionally, on April 23rd, Sant Jordi’s Day, Versus Teatre will present a single performance of Paràlisi, an autobiographical story by Mercè Rodoreda that delves into memories, emotions, and the complexity of personal recollection. The show will also take place at Espai RANDOM at 20.15 h, offering audiences a unique opportunity to experience Catalan literature brought vividly to the stage.
