DESCRIPTION
The company Sarruga Produccions works mainly in street theatre presenting its own creations and productions. The shows stand out for the originally as they open previously unexplored channels of expresion using giant sculptures inspired by insects or mythical creatures.
These are made of and decorated with painted heavy dutty wrapping paper and adquire a special beauty whwn illuminated elther from within or externally.
Added to this, to allow the figures to articulated and move arround, they are build on ingenious metal structures which use different means of locomotion from those inspired by a rudimentary bicycle-althrough the result is considerably more complex- to pneumatic mechanisms.
The combination produces autonomus figures which are manipulated by people who form a part of the visual effect of the show.
