The company Cascai Teatre brings A Certain Shakespeare to Madrid, a wild comedy that transforms the universe of the English playwright into a theatrical game full of improvisation, humor, and audience interaction. Performances will take place at Teatre Sofía on June 19 (6:30 p.m.) and June 20 (7 p.m.).

A supporting actor and a construction worker become, almost by accident, every possible character: Hamlet, Othello, and Romeo and Juliet reappear in everyday situations relocated to the 21st century. The result is a Shakespeare dismantled and rebuilt through absurd humor, where even the most famous tragedies become festive moments filled with puppets, songs, and live projections. With the presence and energy of Marcel Tomàs, each performance becomes a lively, intimate, and participatory experience. The essence of Shakespeare — love, jealousy, revenge, and friendship — remains intact, though filtered through contemporary comedy.
