The company La Fura dels Baus faces an especially active June with several opera productions scheduled at major European venues, consolidating its international presence and collaborations with leading opera houses.
In Germany, Bluthochzeit – Blood Wedding, directed by Àlex Ollé, is being performed at Oper Frankfurt (Frankfurt am Main, Germany) from May 10 to June 15, while a new production of Turandot, also directed by Ollé, can be seen at the Bayerische Staatsoper (Munich, Germany) from June 6 to July 6. In Valencia, the same production of Turandot arrives at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia, with performances from June 3 to 16 in a new staging once again signed by Àlex Ollé. Finally, in Italy, the company presents I Persiani, also directed by Ollé, at the Teatro Greco in Syracuse from June 13 to 28, in one of the Mediterranean’s most emblematic historic theatres.
